Worship Ministries

Randy Umfleet has served as Pastor of Worship Ministries for South Church since April 1999.   Before being called to South,  he served as the Director of Fine Arts for Sunshine Community Church in Grand Rapids for ten years.  He is originally from Olney, Illinois, a small town in southeastern corner of the state.   As a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and Eastern Illinois University he has completed undergraduate degrees in Sacred Music and Music Education as well graduate work in Choral Conducting.  Randy has served as a clinician and speaker for sacred music workshops and seminars and coordinated and directed numerous mass choirs and ensembles for concerts and events as well as performs as an organist in concerts and for numerous weddings.  Randy and his wife Ruth have two children, Arianne and Landon.
